Erykah Badu also known as "Analog Girl In The Digital World" and "Queen of the Digital Underground", is returning for her seventh album "New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh". Lately, Badu has been touring on her Vortex Tour, and had a new baby "Mars". Erykah will be returning in the autumn for the release of her new album and also the release of another album "Mama's Deuce Deuce" and "Lowdown Loretta Brown".

But in 2008, Badu had already release two singles from New Amerykah Part Two, which were "Annie" and "Jump Up In The Air". Although they are sometimes dubbed as buzz singles .

Missy Elliott is back in the game with her new single, “Best Best,” which is produced by none other than Timbaland protege, Nate “Danjahandz” Hill, who has been all over the place, as of late! Early this year, Missy dropped two singles from a soundtrack, which did well heavily on radio, with videos and in the club, but in addition to being credited with the soundtrack, the videos were tagged as the songs being from Missy’s “untitled album.”

Now, Missy is gearing up to release her follow-up to The Cookbook, with her new album, Block Party. The name of the album has changed a couple of different times - so it’s good to see that now there’s an official title, as well as a date. Missy’s new album will drop September 9th!

Ms. Michele is gearing up for her sophomore album "Epiphany". With the self titled single "Epiphany (It's Over)" which aired in January, she tells her boyfriends its over. Also coming from the album is "Blame It On Me", "I'm Okay", "Notebook", and "What You Do", she is ready to show the world that she more than just a good girl but a Grammy Winning Singer. According to her Myspace and Def Jam, the album will be released on May 19, 2009. But the single "Epiphany" is available on iTunes.

The Declaration of Ashanti or Not?

After the release of Ashanti's album "The Declaration" should she really be moving on to the next album. As usual with Ashanti, she only release 2 to 3 singles off an album and then that's it. With songs like "So Over You", "Struggle", "The Declaration", and "Your Gonna Miss" which should have become singles. Singles are meant to boost your album's rating, promotion, and fan's satisfaction. However the singles coming from the album were "The Way I Love You" and fan voted single "Good Good". In my opinion, another single should be released before moving on with another album.

We all know that Intervention was released as a single from the album. It was later confirmed that she will now be releasing another single in 2009. I hope it's Empty Promises.

The best songs (in my opinion) on the cds (besides the singles) are "Satellites", "Ego", "Radio", and "Sweet Dreams". Everybody knows that a track called "Beautiful Nightmare" leaked to the net early this year. Well, the song was re-recorded and entitled "Sweet Dreams". The song sounds even better.
