Erykah Badu - New Amerykah: Pt. 1 (4th World War)

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
This album speaks of the movements in America. The song "Amerykahn Promise" introduces the album with "The Healer" saying that hip-hop is bigger and bigger, with which is grows in each day. "Me" is the song spoken by Erykah, dedicated to her mother "Kollen Gibson Wright". "My People" chants the lyrics, "hold on my people" however at the end of the song, it is believed that either "Malcolm X" or "Martin King Jr" is speaking about "change". "Soldier" speaks about a people with everyday struggles in America, which has agreeing that America needs to change. "The Cell" follows up as the next song, the chorus says "Brenda done died with no name, nickel bag coke to the brain, will they ever find the vaccine?, shifty-damn-damn-baby-bang, rich man got the double barrell, po man got his back to the door.., code white stand for trouble.., shots from the po-po,". "Twinkle" started with a rhyme from old ancient times, which is followed up with "Master Teacher". The track that says, "I'll stay woke until the sun rise". "That Hump" is where Erykah says, "I just want to fly/far away/far away..". "Telephone" is an amazing song inspired by a story told to Erykah by, "Ma Dukes" Yancey on the day Dilla transitioned. "Honey" is the first single, where Erykah talks about a boy being so sweet as her favorite drink (honey). "Real Thang" is the bonus track of the album, which tells you not to let anyone run your life.

Nicole Wray - Lose Your Mind

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
This new song is a club banger. This song was intended to released on InDepenDance Day: Vol. 2. The song is 3:13 long which is featured on DJ 2Mello's mixtape "Who's The King Again: Vol. 5". However it is unknown whether Ms. Wray will still release the mixtape or delay it for another year. Because for everyone who thinking that Nicole is not doing anything, well she is in the studio non-stop trying to work on getting that album done. She wants to make sure that it's the number one album of the year. I believe the Nicole has already made her comeback. Because she recently released her first mixtape, InDepenDance Day: Vol. 1 The Takeover.

Ring the alarm. The Vault is being opened. It holds 12 never-before-released recordings from Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling R&B songstress Ashanti. The Vault will be released October 14th by AJM Records. The Vault contains vocal recordings penned by Ashanti in 2001 while signed exclusively to AJM Records. This composite of work was completed before AJM's joint venture with Murder Inc/Def Jam in 2002.
Top notch producers added the finishing touches to The Vault, including 15-year-old producing wunderkind Miguel "Migs" Baeza. Migs produced the first single set to drop from The Vault, "Let's Do Something Crazy" http://www.zshare.net/audio/18993316777376f5/.For the cut, Migs brought in hip-hop superstar Flo-Rida to drop a few rhymes, making "Let's Do Something Crazy" a sure hit. "Although the track is not like any other Ashanti song heard before, I tried to please her already established fan base by maintaining the classic Ashanti style while at the same time indulging a new audience with an upbeat, exciting feel on this upcoming single," says Migs. Migs also worked his magic on the irresistible "Satisfy," another track from The Vault. Other producers on the album include Kidd Kold, AJM's in-house producer who is responsible for the 2nd single "Imagine" http://www.zshare.net/audio/18993663bae6140c/.
Kidd has produced 8 tracks on The Vault and has worked with DMX and Foxy Brown. Additional producers include Nocko, Steven White and Kenny Flav. Nocko is no stranger to hit makers. He has worked with countless top artists like Mary J. Blige, T.I., Trina, Lil Mo, Monica, Teddy Riley, Ludacris, Nelly and Rick Ross. This dream team of producers has turned The Vault into a must have treasure.Get ready to discover the treasure of Ashanti: The Vault. Its musical gems are priceless recordings.

Jill Scott - All I

All I from Jill Scott's fourth album, The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3, is now gaining airplay. Go and request the song more, she needs more support to help her go Platinum. This is a really nice song. This is like the slow jam track of her album. I also like "Wanna Be Loved" which is also one of my favorites.

Ashanti's Next Single "So Over You"

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
Should Ashanti's next single be "So Over You". She got a lot of good songs on her "The Declaration" album, but still "So Over You" sounds more accurate for the radio. Now songs like "Struggle", "Mother", "Your Gonna Miss", and "The Declaration" should follow up as the album's last singles.

A Yolanda Johnson Story

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
Yolanda Johnson is an R&B/singer-songwriter, named BETJ's Soul Session "Breakthrough Artist of Year".[1] Yolanda released her first EP "Sweet Yesterday" in 2002. In 2006, She returned to released her sophomore EP "Violet Flower", which featured the singles "Individual", "Get 2 Know You", and "Fly...Shine".

Recording
Sweet Yesterday
In 2002, Yolanda step on the scene with her first release, Sweet Yesterday. The self-titled track, Sweet Yesterday, was chosen to the lead single for the EP. The final song of the EP was "Leo Jones". The song was dedicated to Leo Jones, who lost his life because of a genicide accident, having to do with accusal of shooting a police officer.

Violet Flower
In 2006, Yolanda introduced her sophomore EP, Violet Flower. Yolanda explained the title, "I found out that my name, Yolanda, means violet flower". The lead single "Individual" created a buzz from many radio stations and music video shows. Soon after the release of Individual, Yolanda was named BETJ's Soul Session "Breakthrough Artist of Year". In late 2006, Yolanda released the second single, entitled "Get 2 Know U". The soft ballad was a success that brought more sales to the EP and single. The third single "Fly...Shine" was not successful as the previous two singles but was another sweet track. In 2007, Meta Music released a compilation album called "Soul Sicle", which features the label's artists. The album featured Yolanda's single "Intervention" and "Individual (Aaron Carol Mix)".[2]

New Projects
Later after the release of the compilation album, Intervention released as the lead single of Soul Sicle and a buzz single for her upcoming album "Breathing".[3] Yolanda says about Breathing, "The title of the album comes from so many places. When I released Violet Flower, I was really holding my breath, hoping that people liked what I had to offer. Luckily and graciously, new fans are drawn to my message everyday and now I can finally breathe a litte easier. The theme of the album is also inspired from the overwhelming nature of love. On the one hand, love can make you feel so high and so full of life that you can hardly breathe, like that feeling when someone just sweeps you right off your feet and takes your breath away. On the other hand, love can be so tough that it literally takes your breath away and you find unable to breathe at all."[4] The album has been pushed back to be released in October 2008.[2]

Style
Music and Voice
Yolanda is inspired by Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Donnie Hathaway. Her music is consider R&B with styles of jazz, hip-hop, soul, and neo soul and has been described as uplifting, enpowering, and inspirational. Her voice is consider soft and sensual.

Songwriting
She is known for writing soulful and jazz influenced music. Yolanda stated "I just try to be real and honest as I possibly can with what I am saying because people know when you are trying to be something that you are not... and I never want to be that kind of writer". [5]

Nicole Wray Update
According to a user of myspace, Nicole will be uploading the hidden track that fans go crazy for, Lollipop. However, just for good sportmanship, Nicole you might wanna upload a demo version unless you want fans to rip the full version. Yes, Ms. Nicole really checks this site and seems glad to have so much support. And don't forget, Elektric Blue and Lovechild will be coming soon in fall of 2008. I think the InDepenDance Day Vol. 2 project was cancelled and replaced with Who's The King Again Vol. 5. Anyway good luck to Ms. Nicole.

Sources say that Beyonce's album genre is country, eletronica, folk, and house. These are the tracks that she has recently recorded for a possible or confirmed track of the album.

Erykah Badu - Congralutions

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
Congralutions to Erykah Badu for her 14th Years in the music industry. The journey all started with Ms. Badu introducing herself on the album, Funky Cousins. She later released her own album, Baduizm, which went number one and became 5X Platinum Worldwide. The album featured some of best songs like the number hit "On & On", the soul ballad "Next Lifetime", "Otherside of the Game", "Apple Tree", and "Sometimes". In late 1997, she released the live edition of "Baduizm" featuring the hit single "Tyrone" and some of the other artists songs like The Mary Jane Girls' "All Night Long", and Chaka Khan's "Stay". In 2000, Erykah returned with her third album, Mama's Gun, which featured yet again another number hit "Bag Lady". Three year later in 2003, she released "Worldwide Underground" which featured the hip hop neo soul song "Back In The Day". She took a break after much sucess but returned in 2006, Badu. Later in 2007, Erykah re-released her album, Baduizm, which featured a bonus disc full of live version of the original album's songs. Soon after, the smash single "Honey" hit radio stations. The songs built a buzz for the new album "New Amerykah Pt. 1 (4th World War)". The album featured three singles, "Honey", "Soldier", and "The Healer". Now Erykah plans to release a series of album coming soon in the next few months. But she also has nicknames that people refer to her as: "Madula Oblengota", "Sara Bellum", "Lowdown Loretta Brown", "Maria Mexico", "Analog Girl In The Digital World", "Queen of the Digital Underground", "Highpriestess of Soul", "Erykah Free", "Annie", "Erica Wright". So if you see these titles or names, know that it's Erykah Badu.

Erykah Badu's next single (Me)

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com
Erykah wanted to ask fans what they think the next single should be. The poll results are in that "Me" should be the next single. According to Essence Magazine, Erykah is going to release three more albums entitled "New Amerykah Pt. 2 (Return of the Ankh)", "Lowdown Loretta Brown", and "Mama's Deuce Deuce".

Kelly Rowland - Some news

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com

She began working on her album and later finished it. The album was going to be called "My Story" featuring the lead single, "Gotsta Go". The management later pushed the album back to be released in February 2008 do to marketing issues. The album featured songs like "What It Do", "Tell Me", "All On You", "Back On", "Gotsta Go", and more songs which was believed to be a total of 16 tracks. She later announced the changing of the title from "My Story" to "Ms. Kelly". The album featured the summer hit "Like This" which featured Eve.

After her album, Ms. Kelly she went on tour. Kelly had polls on AOL.COM asking fans what they wanted the next single to be. The result came in that "Comeback" should be the next single. Instead Kelly released "Ghetto" as the second single. The song did not do good on the charts as well as the third single "Work". I don't understand it either, because she had a number one album featuring a lot of good songs. She could have released "The Show", "Comeback", "Still In Love", or "Love" as the fourth single but she did not.

She later release a deluxe edition of Ms. Kelly featuring new songs like (Daylight, Broken, No Man No Cry, Love Again, Unity, and some remixes). Once again the album contained a lot of good songs that could have been the next single after "Daylight". She could have definitely released "Broken", "No Man, No Cry", or "Love Again" as the next single. Those where the best of the best. Anyway the media tracked the singer and saying that she is in the studio working on her third album like her cousin, Beyonce. Rumors are saying that she has a new song which is the next single called "No Future, No Past".

Beyonce will be releasing her new album on November 18, 2008. People get ready for this because she said she was trying something different, meaning that this album is not R&B. She is also 27 years old and getting better at what she does. The Queen of R&B/Pop doesn't stop for no one. However she might put the tour schedule on hold considering the fact the she is pregnant.
