Missy Elliott Is One of Best, Best

Best, Best
Missy Elliott is back in the game with her new single, “Best Best,” which is produced by none other than Timbaland protege, Nate “Danjahandz” Hill, who has been all over the place, as of late! Early this year, Missy dropped two singles from a soundtrack, which did well heavily on radio, with videos and in the club, but in addition to being credited with the soundtrack, the videos were tagged as the songs being from Missy’s “untitled album.”

Now, Missy is gearing up to release her follow-up to The Cookbook, with her new album, Block Party. The name of the album has changed a couple of different times - so it’s good to see that now there’s an official title, as well as a date. Missy’s new album will drop September 9th!

Destiny's Child Is Not Reuniting

Sources keep saying that Destiny's Child will be reuniting. They're not coming back anytime soon. Because Beyonce & Kelly will be recording new albums soon, and Michelle will be doing whatever it is she does. Not to be a hater, but it would be great to see the original members back together again or atleast a reunion tour. Comparing En Vogue to Destiny's Child, the original members of En Vogue are back together and touring together again. But if they do decide to comeback, it will probably be in the 2012-2016 era.
Here the album with the original members back in 1999

Gospel Dream 2009

They have three judges who don't what they are doing.
First of all, let's review J. Moss. J. Moss is a judge who heavily puts down the singers. Instead J. Moss needs to improve himself. He has no gold records and has no sold over 500,000 copies (with his two albums) worldwide. J. Moss does not deserve to be a judge, they would have been better off picking his distant cousin Kierra Sheard. Kierra Sheard has sold over 1.5 million records and is a better singer that her cousin "J. Moss". I strongly think that Kierra would have been a way better judge or at least Kirk Franklin.

Second is Michelle. As much as we tried not to admit it and not say it, it has to be said. Michelle is nothing without Destiny's Child and now that they have split up, she is trying to give advice to other singers. Michelle has barely sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. If it wasn't for Beyonce, Mathew, LaTavia, LeToya, and Kelly, Michelle would still be singing back up for Monica. They would have been better off with her cousin "Beyonce", but unfortunately she is on tour. So they would have been better off with "Erica or Trecina" from "Mary Mary". Michelle is better off as an actress because without Destiny's Child, she is nothing. Christian fans have not really embraced her music as far as "Heart to Yours", "Do You Know", and "Unexpected", with which promotion, the album didn't do to good. Don't get me wrong through, Michelle has some good songs like "Heard A Word", "Steal Away", "Til The End of the World", "Thank U", and "Hello Heartbreak".

Last is Mitchell Solarek, who is not worth reviewing. His relationship with J. Moss says it all. They fuss way too much. This not a "hate on" or "hater" message. But really, Gospel Dream should have chosen better judges. J. Moss and Mitchell argue, and Michelle just talks about shoes.

Next time, they need to chose from Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, The Clark Sisters, and Kierra Sheard.

Kelly Rowland Left Columbia

Kelly Rowland has left Columbia Records. This is probably one her best decisions because "Columbia" wasn't for her. She only sold 1,200,000+ copies worldwide. Hopefully with a new label, she will find a better image like Solange.

Usher New Album in 09

After Usher's so called "unsuccessful album 'Here I Stand'", Usher will be releasing a new album in 2009, rumored to be "Monster". Usher's album "Here I Stand" went platinum in the US, so I don't understand how it can be failure.

Ashanti News

Apparently, Irv Gotti has dropped Ashanti from the label. Unfortunately, Irv Gotti was stupid to make that decision however if he didn't, Ashanti would had been better to leave. Murder Inc. is starting to suck because they sound the same over and over. And that was kinda hurting Ashanti especially after the release "The Declaration" which hardly went gold. With another label, Ashanti will definitely be better off with make more sells.

Niyoki Has Unspeakable "Joy"

After the release of the first single "Joy", Niyoki went to testify. She went on 106 & Gospel for interview and also performed the song. Now with the release of her sophomore album "Rest" Niyoki is educating people to follow Christ. "Rest" has sold over 15,000 copies to far.

Ledisi Coming Back With "Turn Me Loose".

According to Ledisi, the album was heavily inspired by listening to Buddy Miles' "Them Changes" for over and over for two months. Ledisi later stated,

"I cried when I first heard this album in 2008. I cried because I heard and felt the pain, the spirit in his voice it moved me. I wanted that freedom I heard in his voice. I wanted to scream and give my all without thinking," she explains adding, "I studied Buddy's life and his music, which led me back to Mr. Jimi Hendrix, Mr. Prince, Mr. Sly, Mr. Fela Kuti and Mr. James Brown. I heard FREEDOM in their music."

What's Next for Lalah?

Will Lalah be releasing a remix or live? Sources tell us that Ms. Hathaway is working on her sixth album to be released at the end of the year. Although in the meantime, it would be great to see Lalah release a live album.
